Kamchatsky, Sha'ban 6, 1433, Jun 26, 2012, SPA -- An earthquake measuring 4.5 points on the open-ended Richter scale has occurred off the Kamchatka Peninsula's southeast Pacific coast. There have been no victims or destructions and no tsunami warnings have been issued, Itar-Tass reported. The epicenter of the quake was located in the vicinity of Cape Lopatka in the extreme south of the peninsula and its seismic focus was identified at a depth of 41.8 kilometers below the oceanic floor. The Kamchatka territory's administrative center, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is located 271 to the northwest of the site of the seismic event. There have been no reports on any considerable crust tremors in the Kamchatkan towns or villages.
