Magma Bloods and Manila Hotdogs going strong

JEDDAH — Magma Bloods defeated Ikea 89-52 at the Al-Baik basketball court here recently. The winner kicked off the game with a running game.
The loser tried hard to catch up with the rival side but lost steam in the final quarter. Lance Adrian scored 26 points for the winner and was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game.
Lapata and Bueta had 11 points apiece for the loser. The tournament is principally sponsored by PEAK Sodas Sports and Shoe Arena with co-sponsor Mandhoubiyah Islamic Propagation Office, Jeddah Dawah Center, Deepvision Advertising Company and Bro Mousa Ignacio.
STC of coach Randy Tuazon beat NRF 82-79. The winner showed heart in the dying seconds of the game. Togonon chipped in with 22 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game.
Pugoy top scored with 28 points for the loser. In the 40 & above category, Dessert Warriors of coach Nestor Capinpin defeated Khalidia Knights 97-73.
The loser's defense collapsed in the final period as the winner bombarded it with 3-point shots. Birthday boy Zamora led the winner with 22 points and was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game. Batalon scored 22 points for the losing cause.
In Thursday matches, Khalidia Tambayz of Ronnie Carino thrashed Avengers 109-91. Garcia led the winner with 36 points and also picked up the JBL Player of the Game honors.
Geniza collected 25 points for the loser. Knights of coach Ernel Paner scored an 86-81 win over Tropang Bakhsh. Carino and Gonzales scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, but Gonzales was adjudged the PEAK Sodas Sports Player of the Game with his end game heroics.
Encabo had 17 points for the loser. In the 40 & above category, Manila Hotdogs of Loue edged Gensoul 87-81 in overtime. Loue top scored with 27 points for the winner and was adjudged the JBL Player of the Game. Vilano scored 23 points for the loser.
