JEDDAH — Stylish batsman Mohammed Ayazuddin Irfan of Tamer dazzled with a century (112) against Sindh-XI to hand Tamer-XI a comfortable 7-wicket win and Munawwar's unbeaten 92 helped G-Best IDB-XI beat Mazco-XI by eight wickets in the 4th week matches of the ACE Travel & Tours-sponsored Premier League, organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Opting to bat first, Sindh-XI scored 192-9 in the allotted overs. Shakeel scored 21 off 8 balls (2x6 and 1x4), Fahad 26 off 12 balls (5x4), Mohsin 69 (4x4 and 5x6, 32 balls), Chand 22 and Ijaz 21 runs (2x4). Off-spinner Noor took 3-42 and Zahid 2-31. In reply, a strong Tamer reached 193-3 in 17 overs. Dashing opener Syed Mohammad Afroz hit 56 off 18 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes. His opening partner Mohammad Ayazuddin Irfan blasted 112 runs off 40 balls. His knock was decorated with 13 sixes and 3 boundaries. Amjad remained unbeaten on 15. Mohsin claimed 1-54 and Munawwar 1-37. Maazco, batting first, made 177-7. Waseem contributed 29 (17 balls, 5x4), Nasir 35 (26 balls, 3x4 and 1x6), Sabir 29 not out (1x6) and Qamar 14. Mirza took 2-40 and Rayees 2-36 for G-BEST IDB.
In reply, G-Best IDB reached 179-2 in 16.5 overs. Rayeesuddin scored 50 with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Munawwar top scored with an unbeaten 92 off 50 balls (6x4 & 6x6). Faisal Khan took 2-26.
