Aijaz Ahmed Khan JEDDAH — New entrant Sindh-XI outclassed an experienced Natco by 50 runs and Mazco trounced Arcoma Crown by 8 wickets in the opening week of the Ace Travel League, organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Ace Travel and Tours has been sponsoring the JCA Premier Division league for the last six years without break. Sindh-XI scored an impressive 195-6 against Natco. Mohsin (39 off 29 balls, 6 fours), Ali (55 — 28 balls, 6 fours, 4 sixes) and Ayaz (44 — 4 fours, 2 sixes) chipped in with useful contributions. Natco skipper Humayun bowled well with 2 for 35. He was supported by Aqeel, Faheem and Faisal who got one wicket each. In reply, Natco batsmen were rocked by some tight bowling by Aijaz who took 3-32, Ali (2-31), Mohsin (2-25) and Shakeel (1-21) and was bundled out for 145. Nazim 38 (4 fours, 1 six), Mustafa 45 (5 fours, 2 sixes,) Faheem (25) and Karam (27) could not prevent Sindh-XI from winning by 50 runs. Arcoma Crown, batting first, rattled up 178-3. Abid Pervaiz scored a brilliant 94 off 52 balls with 12 fours and 2 sixes. Ismail (47 — 39 balls, 5 fours, 1 six) gave him good support. Maqsood claimed 2-37 and Asif 1-33. In reply, Mazco reached 182 for the loss of 2 wickets with Faisal going after the bowling from the start. He scored an exciting unbeaten 101 with 10 fours and 6 sixes. Waseem (25 — 2 fours, 1 six) and Shoukat (22 not out) saw Mazco through. Pervaiz and Nabeel took one wicket each.
