JEDDAH – The Civil Defense teams in Al-Laith and Adem regions of Makkah province retrieved on Tuesday the bodies of a Saudi citizen and his two-year-old girl who were swept away in flashfloods in Wadi Sarnan on Monday. The mishap occurred when Atiyyah Al-Ghamawi, the citizen, was traveling in his car together with his wife and child. The body of Al-Ghamawi's wife was found trapped in the car on Monday night. Around six Civil Defense rescue teams who launched a massive search operation found the body of the child Amina from the valley at around 6.20 a.m. Tuesday. The body of Al-Ghamawi was found later at a spot some kilometers away from the location from where the car went missing.
