JAZAN — Civil Defense teams have located the body of a Border Guard private who was swept away in a flash flood while on duty. Private Mohammad Al-Jabri's body was found hanging on a tree in a dangerously steep valley and was difficult to reach. Civil Defense officers were able to reach the body and carry it on their shoulders with the cooperation of border guards. Many Civil Defense teams took part in the search operation on Tuesday. The teams were commanded by the Civil Defense deputy director general for operations Col. Saad Al-Ghamdi and Al-Ardhah station head Cap. Abdullah Al-Qahtani. The Border Guard and several citizens also participated in the search efforts in Wadi Ana of Qais Mountains. The widespread search eventually resulted in the body being sighted in an area inaccessible to vehicles. The rescue teams reached the area on foot and carried the body on their shoulders for about 500 meters. A spokesman for Jazan Civil Defense said the search took 20 hours. He said helicopters and 41 rescue personnel were used in the search operation. Al-Jabri was married and had four children.
