After three days of searching, Civil Defense search and investigation teams in Jizan retrieved the body of a Yemeni national who went missing during heavy flooding last week. He disappeared when his car was swept away by violent floods in the Bish Valley, drowning another passenger whose body was also found, Al-Watan reported Saturday. Several locations have been designated as shelter areas in all region's governorates and centers, according to the Director General of Civil Defense in Jizan. These shelter areas will provide assistance to areas based on the extent of need and will be ready for any emergency, with cooperation from the Emirate, Civil Defense and the Ministry of Finance. Basic services such as electricity, water treatment and municipal services will be available through the shelter areas in case of an emergency. He indicated that Jizan area has 125 valleys, all of which are potentially danger zones because of the density of the population in each valley.
