Unica claims Team of the Week award

RIRASH — Defending champion Team Unica scored a rare perfect 26 points defeating Simply Perfect (12 points) and bagged the Team of the Week award in Week 3 of the Friday Family Bowling League at Universal Bowling Center here.
Andro Tismo led Unica with a 4-game series of 902, with contributions from Jojo Gabriel (834), Fe Agbisit (810), Rachel Tismo (774), Ismael Viloria (442) and Armin Isles (391).
Unica will also receive the coveted free weekly pizza from the league sponsor Pizza Inn. In other matches, Bandar Assassins won over Allied Unica (19-10), Habagat notched another convincing win over Pinpals (22-6), Cezars Team rebounded from its last week loss winning against Free Style (21-2), Forevermore edged Beauties and the Best (21-17), Royal Strikers upset ABB Saudi Plus (25-12), Striking Distance struck out Saudi Oger (17-11), Team Unity dumped Honky Tonk (25-11) and Aces and Kings humbled last year runner-up Got Chah (21-13).
Ernee Noto of Team Unity (912, 4-game series) and Ian Choco of Forevermore (882) bagged the Bowlers of the Week honors. In the race for MVP, Stephen Solomon continued to lead with an average of 226.9, followed by Andro Tismo (215.1) and Ronald Bautista (211.8).
In the ladies division, Irene Pua currently leads with 189.1 average, followed by Rachel Tismo (185.8) and Denden Ponsaran (182.3).
Special achievement goes to Rocky Manipon of Aces and Kings for scoring a near perfect 299. The Friday Family Bowling League, now in its 34th conference, is the longest running league and organized by the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR).
The league organizing committee is headed by Rita Sison with members Cesar De Mesa, Ernee Noto, Armin Isles, Dennis Durens and Irene Pua.
The league will run for 38 weeks and Pizza Inn will be giving away free pizzas weekly to the Pizza Inn Team of the Week awardee.
