RIYADH — Team Habagat, led by UFTBR Chairman Ernee Noto, rolled a fitting welcome to participants at the resumption of the Interkey Saturday Bowling League with a perfect 22 points and bagging the Team of the Week award. It was a fine team performance from Habagat with Noto scoring a four-game series of 895, Steve Perez 888, Dennis Durens 846 and Stephen Solomon 843. Habagat's opponent Beauties and D'Best, which scored only 7 points, was totally outclassed. In other matches, FBGR defeated Bowl for Fun (16-6), T3S Strikers clobbered Allied Beakers (13-4), Team Rose Dabarkads squeezed past Unico Dos (13-10), GF Jherks won a close match with Perennial Bowlers (14-13), league leader Unica Uno dumped Royal Strikers (21-6), Rotunda out-gunned Saco (16-9) TBA demolished the undermanned Interkey (18-1) and favorite Agimat Rabatitat overpowered Shockwaves (18-9). Rico Feria of Royal Strikers (921 series) and Juliet De Asis of TBA (844 series) took the Bowlers of the Week awards. In the race for the Most Valuable Player, Fernie Ballano led with an average of 226.5, closely followed by Ronald Bautista (225.63) and Doy Del Moral (215.45). Interkey is the main sponsor of the league. The league is organized by the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR) in collaboration with the Filipino Bowlers Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The organizing committee is led by Lulu Quejada and Jim Dela Rosa. It also includes Armin Isles, Cesar De Mesa, Dennis Durens, Rey Bautista, Nelson De Vera, Emerson Mitra, Ernee Noto, Nap Torres, Joe Garrido, Ian Choco, Irene Pua and Pau Feria. — SG
