RIYADH — The Special Criminal Court sentenced a male Saudi doctor and a female nurse, who are married, to ten years and six months in prison for joining Al-Qaeda terrorist organization in Yemen accompanied by their two sons. Their aim was to treat the injured elements of Al-Qaeda. Meanwhile, the Special Criminal Court sentenced a Saudi man on Thursday to eight years in prison and banned him from travel for a similar period after serving his jail sentence. He was charged of adopting Takfiri ideology that violates the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah. He was also charged of disobeying the ruler due to his belief that it is permissible to travel to regions of turmoil without permission of the ruler. He also saved banned materials in his computer and other devices.
