JEDDAH — Talented students of City School International displayed amazing flair and creativity at an educational exhibition organized by the school in its premises recently.
An array of colorful and spectacular models and charts on different topics adorned the school campus.
The featured models and charts were on marine adaptations, universe, ecological succession, colors of life, food and nutrition, seasons, oasis, garden, underwater, jungle, water cycle and others.
All the efforts of the children were praiseworthy, but the works on the “seven wonders of world” and “craft studio” garnered special mention and accolades from parents, teachers and visitors.
The tiny tots also splendidly displayed animals (domestic and wild), day and night, seasons, among others.
Students of nursery and kindergarten also exhibited different models of jungle, water world, and spring season.
The principal of the school, Safia Habib, said: “Our science and art exhibition is an annual event where our students' talent and potential is showcased. Brimming with excitement and new ideas, the students' worked hard under their teachers' expert guidance with team spirit and harmony coupled with enthusiasm, energy and love for learning to make this exhibition a success. I take this opportunity to thank my dedicated and sincere staff for working tirelessly to bring forth their students inner urge to express themselves confidently.”
She added: “My sincere thanks to the parent community for their valuable suggestions, support, appreciation and active participation which all contributed toward making this event a grand success.”
Mishal Imran, a grade 6 student, said: “We work hard with the help of our teachers, she divided us in group. My teacher gave me this idea of seven wonders which my friends and I prepared in four to six days. It was great experience and I enjoyed preparing and demonstrating it.”
Yousuf Adil, a grade 3 student, who displayed a protein diet with his friends, said: “It was so much fun to present this. We enjoyed it a lot. I hope to participate in future events.”
Nafia, a student of grade 7 who displayed the marine adaptation, said: “My teacher gave me this idea and we took about two weeks to prepare this all. We enjoyed doing this because this kind of exhibition is very helpful for our studies because we have these topics all in our course books, and a practical approach makes it easier for learning.”
She added: “Also this exhibition has given us an opportunity to know more about different topics in this event.”
