Syeda Amtul Saudi Gazette Tiny tots of City School International displayed amazing talent and creativity in an educational exhibition organized by the school in its premises recently. An array of colorful and spectacular models and charts on different topics adorned the school campus. The models and charts were on insects, water world, spring, means of transport, farm animals, pet animals, jungle, different professions, seasons, pollution, recycling, water cycle and others. All the efforts of the children was praiseworthy, but the works on the ‘basic units of life' and ‘keeping healthy' garnered special mention and accolades from parents, teachers and visitors. They splendidly displayed “Junior science laboratory” “habitats” and “marine life” among other works. Students of nursery and kindergarten also exhibited different still models of forest, water world, and spring season. The principal of the school, Safia Habib, said “Our aim is to provide our students with an environment that promotes order, independence, a love for learning, a connection to the world and a sense of social responsibility.” “The City School International nurtures a culture where students are valued as individuals and allowed to explore their creative talents,” she said. She further added: “I am thankful to be surrounded by hard-working and dedicated teachers, supportive parents and of course most importantly a great group of enthusiastic and eager students who always seem to make our efforts supremely worthwhile.” Enthusiasm reflected clearly upon all their work particularly in “Different Professions” and “Doctors and Scientists” presented by Prep 1 students. The key elements of the exhibition were pictures of the Art Corner, Jungle Land and Recycling Factory. Students, at the exhibits, were confidently explaining all concepts with their innocent smartness to the parents and visitors. Jana, a student of grade 4C, said: “My teacher gave me this idea of water cycle which my friends and I prepared in two to three days. It was great experience and I loved to prepare and demonstrate it.” Lana, from grade 2, presented glimpses of “Four Seasons” with her friends. She said: “It was so much fun to prepare this in a week. We enjoyed it a lot, and hope to participate in future events.” Rana Abdul Sattar, a grade 8 student, said: “This kind of exhibition is very helpful for our studies, because we have these topics all in our course books, and a practical approach makes for easier learning. This is our second exhibition and I feel that it helped in our studies.” “Also this exhibition has enabled us to gain a chance to know more about different topics in this event,” she added.
