JEDDAH – The International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) hosted a two-day Education Exhibition (EDEX 2012) at the girl's section last week here. More than 500 students exhibited their projects, showing off their commendable fusion of creativity and knowledge. An array of colorful and spectacular models and charts of subjects like mathematics, IT, computer science, science, business, language and others adorned the school campus. The exhibition was inaugurated by Kausar Kidwai, wife of the Indian Consul General, who was accompanied by Syed Masood Ahmad, the Principal of IISJ, along with other officials. Works of the home-science and physics departments garnered accolades from parents, teachers and visitors. They splendidly displayed the concept of time machine, malls, and others. Students of grades 1 and 2 also exhibited different hand-made Arabic cuisine apart from showing off models of different houses. Thankmma, an economic teacher and supervisor of Royal Bank of Arabia, said that all the preparations were done by students in one week only, and the hard work and dedication of the girls were worthy of praise. Vice Principal Farahd unnisa said: “This educational exhibition is the result of hard work and dedication of students. We encourage and appreciate their talent.” Fazeelah Farzan Rizvi, Head Girl of IISJ (girls' section), said: “EDEX 2012 was indeed a valuable experience for all of us. All the participants did a marvellous job. Enthusiasm reflected clearly upon their work. An event like this could not happen overnight. The wheels started rolling weeks ago. I would like to thank all the teachers and the entire staff of IISJ who left no stone unturned in making this event a success.”
