JEDDAH — The International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) hosted a two-day Education Exhibition (EDEX 2013) at the boys' section recently here. More than 1,500 students exhibited around 500 projects, showing off commendable fusion of creativity and knowledge. An array of colorful and spectacular models and charts of subjects like mathematics, IT, computer science, science, social science business, language and others adorned the school campus. The exhibition was inaugurated by Head of Chancery and the School Observer Muhammad Raghib Qureshi who was accompanied by Syed Masood Ahmad, the Principal of IISJ, along with other officials. Works of the home-science and physics departments garnered accolades from parents, teachers and visitors. They splendidly displayed “Hydraulic Break,” “Rocket Detachment,” and “Fire Dance” among others. Students of grades 1 and 2 also exhibited different still models of forest, marine life apart, and conservation of earth. Ahmad said: “We organized this exhibition to give our students a platform to to exhibit their potential innovations, ideas. Though it's a very tough task for us because they are thousands of students willing to participate.” He added: “All projects are very innovative and we are proud of our students; we are proud of our teachers and the co-operation extended by our parents.” Enthusiasm reflected clearly upon all their work particularly in the magical experiments of chemistry, bio-plasty experiments, display of self-made robot and forensic labs. Puzzles related to mathematics, rich Saudi Arabian culture, organ donation, briefs about severe diseases, laser beans, art work and innovative computer technology showed that an event like this did not happen overnight, wheels had started rolling weeks ago.
