JAZAN — Police seized more than 1,000 blocks of the narcotic qat, 50 blocks of hashish and 75 guns from three smugglers in two separate incidents. Jazan Police spokesman Salem Qaziz said a vehicle being driven at reckless speed was spotted by officers, who gave chase for six hours before they were finally able to arrest the driver. He added that police also spotted two smugglers near their station. They seized their drugs and weapons but the smugglers got away.
