JEDDAH — Hussain of Jeddah Shaheen hit a blistering century to set the second round of CKB T20 Division-II Afternoon League alight here recently.
The MoneyGram-sponsored Cricket Ke Badshah (CKB) T20 Tournament 2015 is being held under the umbrella of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Saudi German Hospital (SGH) beat Old Students by 19 runs. SGH, batting first, piled up 205 for 6 against Old Students-XI. Opening batsman Taqiuddin made 51 (10x4 & 1x6) and his partner Husnain Tariq hit a match-winning 82 off 32 balls (4x4 & 5x6). Ali contributed 22. Aman had 2 for 35. In reply, the Old Students-XI could reach only 187 for 9. Izhar hit 20, Shahid 47, Abdul Qadir 28 and Asif 21. Waqas claimed 3-41, Hussain 3-29 and Ali 2-32.
Jeddah Shaheen thrashes ICAD by 168 runs. Jeddah Shaheen electing to bat first scored 261 for 3. Faisal Shahzad made 23, Shams 38, Naeem Ahmad 52 (4x4 & 2x6) and Hussain anchored the innings with his crafty 114 (10x6 & 5x4). Mohsin grabbed 2-48 and Shakeel 1-70. ICAD, in reply, collapsed for 93. Mohsin scored 23, Waqar 13 and Hassan 11. Arshad was the pick of the bowlers with 4-35, Mirza took 3-2, Mubashir 2-13 and Karam 2-7.
Old Horses Shalimar beat Peeran-XI by 8 wickets. Peeran-XI posted 121 for 8 against Shalimar-XI. Skipper Zaheer Peeran scored 23, Asad 19 not out, Abdul Razzak 22 not out. Veteran left-arm spinner Shahid took 3-18, Faizan 3-22 and Mubashir 2-7. In reply, Shalimar reached home for the loss of 2 wickets in 13.1 overs. Nabeel hit 27, Zain Ul Salikeen 16 not out and Mubashir 50 not out (3x6 & 3x4). Asghar claimed 1-28 and Imran 1-29.
