Build median fences to force people to use street bridges

With reference to the article "Jeddah to have 20 more pedestrian bridges" by Omar Mujalli (Nov. 2), construction of pedestrian bridges over Jeddah roads has long been awaited by the public. However, giving consideration to the public attitude in crossing the streets, it is essential to erect median fences to force people to use the pedestrian bridges and prevent them from straight-crossing of roads. If these preventive measures are not taken into account, the purpose of constructing these bridges will come to naught and the pedestrian bridges will just rot without being used.
