Finish the underpass before opening it!

With regard to the report "Tahlia-Sabaeen underpass opens, finally" (June 4), it is good to note that this long delayed project has been completed and that the road has finally been opened for traffic.
However, it seems that the authorities have opened the road just to meet the repeatedly extended deadline set by the concerned government agencies, and that again the same road will be closed for completing associated work.
This has been witnessed recently in almost all projects in Jeddah. Therefore, it would be better to complete all the remaining work and open the facility once and for all.
