I am writing with regard to the article "Authorities inspect food outlets, punish violators" (Mar. 20). The vigilance team should conduct raids and inspections of all restaurants and food outlets on a regular basis to make sure that the health of the general public is not endangered by the greedy owners of these establishments, who are only concerned about making money and nothing more than that. I would suggest that the authorities especially keep a strict watch on Pakistani and Indian restaurants all over the Kingdom, as their cooking methods, including the preparation of curries and bread, do not meet with hygiene standards and they charge exorbitantly for their products.
