TABUK — Police detained a number of people for allegedly assaulting a doctor in front of his house in the Al-Murooj neighborhood of Tabuk on the first night of Ramadan. Tabuk Police spokesman Lt. Col. Khalid Al-Ghabban said the suspects came from another neighborhood and assaulted the doctor over an earlier dispute between them. He added that information about the assault was circulated to all police stations, including descriptions of the cars used by the assailants. He pointed out that police patrols stopped two cars carrying five of the suspects, who admitted there were other people involved in the attack. A search is under way for the remaining suspects. The case was referred to the Bureau of Investigations and Public Prosecution for further action.
