JEDDAH — ARM continued its unbeaten run in the 6th week of Ace Travel Premier Division League sponsored by Ace Travel & Tours and organized by JCA.
ARM beat Micro Engineering by 100 runs. ARM, batting first, put on 215 runs in 20 overs. Opener Athar Ali (53 - 2 fours, 2 sixes), skipper Najam (54 not out - 4 fours, 3 sixes) and Mamraiz (28 — 2 fours, 2 sixes) were among the runs. Mujahid with 3 for 28 and Kaleem 2-38 bowled their hearts out. However, Micro Engineering had no answer to the spin of ARM bowlers Sami (3-31) and Shani (3-23). It was bundled out for 115. Only Ismail (21) and Mujahid (20) offered some resistance.
Pak Green thrashed Dessert Warriors by 6 wickets. Dessert Warriors set a target of 222 runs. Junaid clobbered Desert Warriors bowlers for 80 (5 sixes and 8 fours) off 41 balls. He was given good support by Jafar (20) and Wasim (38). Rizwan (2-43), Shan Malik (2-28) and Irfan (2-15) picked the wickets. In reply, Pak Green went on a run fest as it reached 224 for the loss of 4 wickets in 16.3 overs. Pak Green's duo of Shahzad Ahmed (76 off 34 balls - 11 fours, 4 sixes) and Amir Shahzad (70 off 32 balls — 5 fours, 6 sixes) went on a rampage. Sajid remained unbeaten on 31.
ACE Travel downed Natco by 27 runs. Ace Travel got off to a good start. Kaleem with a quick-fire 54 (7 fours, 2 sixes) and Haroon Abdulla with 33 laid the foundation on which Atta (46) and Amir (45) built the innings, enabling Ace Travel to post 204 runs. Aashiq claimed 2-31, while Humayun, Mustafa and Altaf bagged a wicket each.
In reply, Natco was all out for 177 in 17.3 overs as Haroon Abdulla bowled a tempting spell taking for 4 wickets for 4 runs in 9 balls while Sohail (2-37) and Zahid (2-38) gave him good support. Humayun (27) and Arif (26) were the only ones among the runs.
