Easy for Desert Warriors

JEDDAH — Desert Warriors recorded a big 76-run win over Ace Travel in the 4th week matches of the JCA Premier Division CKB T20 League sponsored by MoneyGram under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) here.
In other action: Hyderabad Green continued its unbeaten run, while Mazco also won big.
Desert Warriors beat ACE Travel by 76 runs. Batting first, the Warriors posted 236 for the loss of 5 wickets. Jafar scored a quick-fire 68 off 24 balls and Junaid scored an unbeaten 66 off 25 balls. Waseem (31) and Abdul Quddus (23 not out) chipped in with useful contributions. Arsalan picked up 3 for 23, while Sohail and Zahid Khan had a wicket each.
In reply, ACE Travel succumbed by 76 runs as it was restricted to 161 for 9. Kaleem (32) and Sohail (34) were the notable contributors as Khalid (3-26), Abdul Quddus (3-19) and Islam (2-15) were among the wickets.
Hyderabad Green thrashed Tamer by 115 runs. Batting first, Hyderabad Green put up an impressive tally of 231-7. A pugnacious knock of 92 by Usman off 45 balls was the highlight of its innings. Usman hit 9 well-timed fours and 5 sixes and received good support from Javed 42 off 38 balls. Abid claimed 3-51 and Arshad 2-30.
In reply, Tamer was shot out for 116 with only Afroz (31) and Aqeel (27) offering some resistance. The other batsmen could not tackle the fiery pace of Faisal who finished with 5-26 and was supported by Javed (2-5) to give Hyderabad Green an easy win.
Mazco beat Micro Engineering by 8 wickets. Micro Engineering managed 119 runs in its allotted overs losing 8 wickets. Rafi (22) and Ilyas (25) were among the score as other batsmen had no clue to the penetrative bowling of Farhat (3-10) and Faisal Khan (2-16). In reply, Mazco coasted to an easy win reaching the target of 122 for 2 wickets in only 8.2 overs. Faisal Khan led the way with a quick 50 off 22, while Usman chipped in with an aggressive unbeaten 38 off 13 balls. Zaheer hit 23 as Mazco romped home for the loss of two wickets and 11.8 overs in hand.
