Tabraiz slams 111 in JCA Premier

JEDDAH — Tabraiz of ARM hit a magnificent 111 runs against ACE Travel to keep his team undefeated in one of the 7th week matches in the JCA Premier League CKB-T20 Tournament sponsored by MoneyGram under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre here recently.
Micro Engineering beat Tamer by 38 runs. Micro Engineering, batting first, posted 234 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kaleem hit 44 off 19 balls, Shareef added 52 with half a dozen boundaries, Sami 45 and Anwar Malik 42. The total was boosted by 22 extras. Rayees claimed 2-52, while Arshad, Karam Ali and Anwar Khan bagged a wicket apiece for 65, 34 and 41 runs, respectively.
In reply Tamer managed only 196-4. Skipper Anwar Khan contributed 50, while his opening partner Rayees added 35 and Arshad hit 61 in the middle. The bowling side gave away 30 extras. Abid 2-19, Maqsood 1-13 and skipper Rafi 1-32 were among the wickets.
The second match saw ARM beat ACE Travel by 49 runs. Undefeated ARM batted first and scored 232-5. Tabraiz, the dashing and consistent opening batsman, hit a quick-fire 111 not out off 54 balls. His innings was decorated with nine boundaries and four sixes. His opening partner Athar Ali chipped in with 62 runs, while all-rounder Sami Khan added 20. Off-spinner Ibrahim Bin Mahfouz tried to contain the onslaught with his figures of 3-4 and fast bowler Atta Ur Rahman took 1-45.
ACE Travel, in reply, could manage only 183-6. All-rounder Atta Ur Rahman hit 54, Ibrahim Bin Mahfouz 34, Jawed Ahmed 30 and Syed Kaleem 22. The bowlers added 30 through extras. Nazeer 2-26, Zeeshan 2-24 and Rashid 2-11 were among the wickets.
In the third match of the week, Pak Green edged Desert Warriors by 16 runs. Batting first, Pak Green scored 186-7. Malik Shan Manzoor 25, Asim Ashfaq 30, Asim Khan 32 not out, Adnan 30 and Shahzad 15 were among the runs. Adil 3-28, Abdul Quddus 2-25 troubled Pak Green batsmen. In reply, Desert Warriors team was all out for 170. Opening batsman Jafar, Abdul Quddus and D.W. Muzammil Riyaz hit 30 each. Adnan 2-31 and Shahzad 2-35 did most the damage to Desert Warriors.
