Azhar, Faruk and Abdullah sparkle in WPCA

JEDDAH — Azhar and Faruk hit centuries while Abdullah picked up 5 wickets as seven matches took place in the WPCA Morning Summer Cricket Tournament here recently.
My Care Hala Green thrashed ATS by 8 wickets. ATS posted 162 for 7 with Mohammed Naeem making 72 off 52 balls and Naeem 47. Rana claimed 2-28 and Umar 2-28. My Care Hala Green was home 163-2 with Azhar blasting an unbeaten 122 off 53 balls (9 sixes and 10 boundaries). He added 135 for the second wicket with Raheel (27).
Crown Blue humbled Myaco by 9 wickets. Myaco was bundled out for 71 with only Zahid making 22 not out. Saleem Mehar took 2-13 and Hafiz 2-16. Crown Blue crossed the target (72) for the loss of one wicket. Tasleem remained unbeaten on 59 in 26 balls.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group stunned Nesma Holding by 8 wickets. Nesma Holding was bundled out for 145 as Akram hit 37, Sahdul 30 and Ben 31. Luqman Ulfat grabbed 4-28. Al-Kabbani was home with 151 for 2 off 89 balls as unbeaten half centuries were scored by Abdulraqeeb (50 off 24 balls) and Faisal (52 off 24 balls). They added 97 for the 3rd wicket. Ahmed grabbed 2-27.
ALJ Toyota beat Johnson Control by 78 runs. ALJ Toyota racked up 194 for 5 after it started disastrously, but Zahid (53) had fruitful partnerships with Imran Rana (35) and Farhan (49 not out). Naveed added 30. Johnson Control, in reply, was restricted to 116 for 8 as Bilal claimed 3-20 while Abdulrehman made 24.
Al-Mazroi-XI thrashed Harsco Baroom by 88 runs. Al-Mazroi put on 213 for 3 as opener Faruk cracked an unbeaten 107 off 51 balls and added 102 with Mohsin (22) for the opening stand. Nazeer Farooqui was 29 not out. Ayyub Memon took 2-35. Harsco Baroom in response was bundled out for 125 as Abdullah bowled devastatingly to take 5-15. Farhan added 35, Armaghan 29 and Khizar 25.
Hanifa Tigers downed Mercedes Benz by 2 wickets. Mercedes Benz was bowled out for 129 as Nadeem took 3-20, Omar 2-31 and Ammar 2-31. Javed scored 20. Hanifa Tigers reached the winning target of 130 off 99 balls with 2 wickets in hand. Imran hit 31. Rashid scalped 3-27, Amir 2-18 and Jawed 2-26.
Aquafina Rapid Tech was declared winner against Otex.
