Bowlers, batsmen share honors in Hyundai Morning

JEDDAH — Stallions downed Jeddah Royals, Johnson Control defeated Attieh Steel, ALJ Toyota humbled Kabbani, Rapidtech raced to victory over MQ Group, Myaco beat Jeddah Challengers and Nesma Holding downed Otex in the WPCA-organized Hyundai Naghi Morning Tournament here recently.
Stallions, batting against Jeddah Royals, racked up 169-5. Asif remained unbeaten on 80 in 44 balls studded with 10 fours and a six. He added 50 with Abdulrafay (22). Rana took 2-20 and Imtiyaz 2-42. Jeddah Royals, in reply, could only get to 131-4 to lose by 38 runs. Sohail top-scored with 47, while Sagheem and Azhar added 20 each. Rafi took 2-28.
Attieh Steel posted 150-3 against Johnson Control. Shahid Shoukat hit 66 in 38 balls with 6 fours, while Kashif added 49. Johnson Control, in response, achieved the target of 154 for the loss of 8 wickets in 104 balls. Khubab scored 44 as he added 71 with Waseem (17). Naveed compiled 23. Waseem scalped 3-26 and Tariq Butt 2-47.
Kabbani, using the track first against ALJ Toyota, could only score 105-8. Khalil hit 28 and Faraz 25. Tanveer Zamane grabbed 3-22. ALJ Toyota responded with 107-2 in 74 balls to win by 8 wickets as Zahid hit 58 with 13 fours.
MQ group, batting first against Rapidtech, was bundled out for 83 in 94 balls as Naveed grabbed 4-14, while Ziyad bagged 2-13 and Meraj 2-5. Hasan hit 19. Rapidtech, chasing the low total, reached the target of 87 off 48 balls without loss as Inayatullah hit 39 and Naveed 28.
Myaco, opting to bat first against Jeddah Challengers, racked up 175-7. Asghar hit 54 in 27 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, while Naeem scored 57 off 36 balls and Amjad retired hurt for 28. Umar took 2-32.
Jeddah Challengers, in reply, was restricted to 140-3 to lose by 35 runs as Omar hit 63 in 37 balls and Aziz added 33.
Nesma Holding, batting first against Otex, piled up 170-5. Sheraz blasted 50 in 38 balls, while Malik hit 32 and Ben 45 not out. Irfan took 2-32. Otex, in reply, was stranded at 141-6 to lose by 29 runs. Hafiz Usman remained unbeaten on 50 and Naeem hit 44. Ben took 2-19.
In previous week action Crown Blue beat Rapidtech, Stallions stunned SFCC, ATS downed Haneefa Tigers, New Young Stars humbled QRCC, while Hala Academy White defeated Jeddah Challengers.
