JEDDAH — Stallions, ATS, Myaco, Al-Kabbani, Nesma and Mercedes Benz emerged winners in the eighth week matches of the WPCA Morning Tournament here recently.
Stallions got the better of ADI-XI by 7 wickets. ADI posted 157-5 as Farhan hit 40, while Danial, Omer Mehfooz and Makii scored 25 each. Hassan took 2-33 and JD 1-28. Stallions reached 160 off 90 balls for the loss of three wickets. Hassan made 62 and Arsalan 59. Zaki bagged 2-12.
ATS beat Delloite Cricket Club by 7 wickets. ATS achieved the target of 153 for the loss of 3 wickets. Naeem scored 53, Mohammed Naeem remained unbeaten on 52 and Imran Amin added 22. Irfan claimed 2-42.
Myaco crushed Sadafco by 125 runs. Myaco racked up 224-4 thanks to Asghar Khan's unbeaten knock of 136 (9 sixes and 9 fours). He added 118 runs in 59 balls for the first wicket with Zahoor, who hit 40. Amjad added 30. Shamsuddin picked up 3-29. Sadafco, in reply, fell for 99 with only Tauseef making 25. Abdulrehman took 3-14 and Yaseen 3-20.
Al-Kabbani downed Johnson Control by 7 wickets. Johnson Control posted 130-9. Sayeed was the top scorer with 40. Asad bagged 4 for 29 and Abdulraqeeb 2-24. Al-Kabbani lost 2 wickets early, but Abdulraqeeb smashed 56 and Faisal 40 not out to take their team to victory (135 for 3).
Nesma had the last laugh against ALJ Toyota by 6 wickets. ALJ Toyota posted 146 with Naveed scoring 22, Basheer 21 and Farhan 20. Two wickets each were picked up by Saeedul Islam, Gulzar and Ahmed. Nesma Holding, in reply, reached the victory target of 147 for 4 in 101 balls. Malik hit 34 and skipper Sheraz 59 as the two added 76. Arif took 2-22.
Mercedes Benz upset Jeddah Challengers by 12 runs. Mercedes Benz was bowled for 132 as Zahid top-scored with 31. Imran grabbed 5-17 in his four overs, while Atif Ali claimed 3-27 and Rafiq 2. Jeddah Challengers were restricted to 120. Rizwan hit 38 and Abubaker 26. Zahid with 4-24 and Javed 4-23 were the main destroyers.
