RIYADH — The Civil Defense rescued a young man who had fallen into a 23-meter-deep well in Al-Muzahamiya in the Riyadh region three days ago. A camel shepherd was passing by the well when his dog ran toward it and started barking. The man noticed a car parked near the well that had its doors open but no one was inside. When he inspected the well he saw a man trapped inside and notified the authorities. The Civil Defense dispatched rescue units and rescued the young man while the Red Crescent provided first aid treatment and transported him to Prince Salman Hospital. He sustained a fracture in his skull but is otherwise stable.
