BAHA — Two brothers drowned in a rivulet at Wadi Al-Hadwan. Baha Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Col. Jamaan Dayes said a citizen notified the Civil Defense that two of his sons left the house in the morning, but had not come back yet and could not be reached on their mobile phones. Search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area where the victims were suspected to have been picnicking. A witness notified the Civil Defense that he saw two young men heading for the rivulet and Civil Defense teams began combing the area. They noticed sandals left at the edge of the stream, which indicated the siblings went swimming. A diver found their bodies holding each other underwater. Dayes said this showed one of the brothers was drowning and the other went after him to save him, but also drowned. The bodies were transferred to the mortuary.
