Super, Samarwa excel in RCL MoneyGram

RIYADH — Super, National, Cricket Samarwa, National, EverGreen, Royal Fighters, Game Pro, Pukhtoonkhwa, Mehran and NAB won their matches in the third week action of RCL MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah T20 Cup here recently.
The tournament is sponsored by Moneygram and played under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre and organized by Riyadh Cricket League at its complex.
Super beat Al-Fateh by 6 wickets. Batting first, Al-Fateh scored 164 runs. Sajjiuddin hit 90 runs with 5 boundaries and 4 sixes. Babar Mirza claimed 5 wickets, while Waleed and Shafiq took 2 wickets each. In reply, Super achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets off 16.1 overs. Babar Mirza and Adnan Nasir provided a solid opening start of 35 runs. Waleed later scored 37 valuable runs. Shafeeq hit 39 and Khawar added 26. Waqas took 2 wickets. Babar Mirza was named Man-of-the-Match.
Cricket Samarwa beat Cricketers by 5 wickets. Cricketers put on 137 runs. Ahmar hit 41, while Mansoor added 24. Tassadaq took 4 wickets. In reply, Samarwa reached the target in 14 overs. Amir hit 49 and Ahsan 32. Salman claimed 2 wickets. Tassadaq won the Man-of-the-Match honors.
National got the better of Flynas Avengers by 42 runs. Taking the strike first, National set a target of 204 runs. Javed hit 58, Yasir 33 and Sadat 24. Usman claimed 4 wickets, while Akram took 2. In reply, Flynas Avengers were sent packing for 161. Saqib hit 24 runs, while Zafar added 20 and Usman 24. Ashraf bagged 3 wickets, while Azeem took 2. Javed was named Man-of-the-Match.
EverGreen thrashed Gujranwala by 59 runs. Batting first, EverGreen scored 169 runs. Khawar hit 39, while Adil Mustafa added 37. Usman and Kamran claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Gujranwala was bowled out for 110. Afzal hit 20, while Usman and Ashraf added 16 each. Mudassar and Arslan took 2 wickets each, while Adil Mustafa took 1. Adil Mustafa won the Man-of-the-Match award.
Royal Fighters thumped Riyadh Blues by 5 wickets. Batting first, Riyadh Blues scored 193 runs. Sufiyan (50) and Shakeel (52) provided a solid start of 102 runs. Himayath and Jawed made 22 runs each. Qaiser, Asif and Madani took 2 wickets each. In reply, Royal Fighters achieved the target in 17.3 overs. Qaiser (47) and Madani (29) provided a solid start of 54 runs, while Saad added 43 and Ammen 30. Farhan, Shakil, Asif and Nasir claimed one wicket each. Qaiser was named Man-of-the-Match.
Game Pro defeated Konkan Green by 5 wickets. Konkan Green put on 108 runs. Tausif was the only batsman who played with confidence and hit 41. Shakeel and Nazim claimed 3 wickets each. In reply, Game Pro attained the target in 11 overs. Game Pro lost a couple of wickets early, but Surjeeth (42), Ashraf (15) and Shameer (14) took Game Pro to victory. Muzaffar and Siraj took 2 wickets each. Surjeeth won the Man-of-the-Match honor.
Pukhtoonkhwa got the better of RP by 56 runs. Pukhtoonkhwa set RP a target of 181 runs. Rana Munir scored 53 runs and Kefayat 36. Amad and Riaz claimed 3 wickets each. In reply, RP was bowled out for 125 runs. Yasir hit 25, Faizan 24, Salman 18 and Ammad 17. Rana Munir claimed 4 wickets, while Haroon and Arshad took 2 each. Rana Munir was named Man-of-the-Match.
Mehran Spices thrashed Mughal by 55 runs. Batting first, Mehran scored 209 runs. Assad Butt (67) and Fahim Shah (51) provided a good opening stand of 130 runs. Sajjad Shah took 3 wickets. In reply, Mughal was bundled out for 154 runs. Imran hit 56. Ayyaz and Alam took 2 wickets each. Assad Butt was named Man-of-the-Match.
NAB beat Kashmir Press by 80 runs. Batting first, NAB scored 210 runs. Hashim hit 85, Imran Khan 49 and Usman Butt 34. Nzir took 2 wickets. In reply, Kashmir Press could score only 130. Imran with 21 and Shoaib with 20 were the top-scorers. Sikandar, Nazir and Murtaza claimed 2 wickets each. Hashim was named Man-of-the-Match. — SG
