Thrilling encounters in BSF Cup

RIYADH — Eight matches were played in the Banque Saudi Al-Fransi (BSF) T20 Cup cricket tournament organized by Riyadh cricket league (RCL) here recently.
Game Pro, Riyadh Blues, Mehran, Cybroam, Bhatkal Warriors, Royal Fighters, Pakhtoonkhawa and NAB came out on top.
Game Pro beat Al-Eid by 6 wickets. Al-Eid elected to bat and set a target of 212. Babar (52) and Mohammed Hussain (42) were a delight to watch.
Kashif hit 27 and Raja Ejaz 24. Moiezuddin, Surjith, Sharjeel and Zakriya Hasan picked up a wicket each. Game Pro, in reply, achieved the total in 17.2 overs. Man-of-the-Match Moiezuddin hit 98 with the help of 14 boundaries. Imran Gavanji added 49 (9 fours and 1 six). Babar, Raja Ejaz and Hashim grabbed a wicket each.
Riyadh Blues defeated Black Caps by 66 runs. Batting first, Riyadh Blues made 214. Shakeel (74) and Zafar (71) put on 160 for the opening wicket.
Rizwan added 37 and Sufiyan 18. Malik of Black Caps took 2 wickets, while Bilal and Saud took 1 each. Black Caps were bundled out for 148. Sanaullah and Muki were the only ones to stay on the wicket for some time. Rizwan claimed 4-22 and Man-of-the-Match Shakeel 3-14.
In another match, batting first Mehran scored 189. Man-of-the-Match Usman Shah scored 44, Alam Khan 40, Sher Khan 30 and Anwar Zeb 20. Naveed, Abbas and Butt took two wickets each. In reply, Star Eleven was all out for 150 to lose the match by 39 runs. Yasir made 25 and Waheed 21. Habib took 3 wickets, while Alam, Usman bagged 2 each and Salman, Fakhar and Asad took 1 each. Mehran won the match by 39 runs.
Another match saw Cybroam beat Riyadh Sports Club by 130 runs. Batting first, Cybroam scored 232. Man-of-the-Match Zeeshan Khan was in dashing mood as he hit 97 (14 fours). He was well-supported by Kamran Mirza (61) and Adil Khan (31). Ibrahim took 3 wickets, while Ibrar claimed 2. Riyadh Sports Club was all out for 102. Nadeem (52) and Feroz (36) were the main run-getters.
Bhatkal Warriors defeated Maestro by 4 runs. Batting first, Bhatkal made 163. Man-of-the-Match Madani hit 93 (10 fours and 3 sixes) in a lone battle. Nashir Curtay took 5-18, while Sunil took 2 wickets. Maestro, in reply, fell short by 4 runs. Ashfaque Qureshi hit 46, while Umar Bashir scored 45. Safwan of Bhatkal took 2 wickets, while Mehboob, Madani and Ibrahim grabbed 1 each.
Ahmed-XI scored 184. Yasir hit 62 (8 fours), while Maqsood added 37. In reply Royal Fighters achieved the target in 17.1 overs. Man-of-the-Match Ali hit 55, while Qaiser added 39, Mubashir 27 and Izhar 22. Razzaq took 3 wickets.
Pakhtoonkhawa beat Evergreen Sixers by 67 runs. Batting first, PakhtoonKhawa scored 214. Naveed hit 74 (7 fours and 4 sixes). He was well supported by Khalid (42) and Haroon (34). Adil grabbed 3 wickets, while Jamshed bagged 2 and Amjad and Haroon 1 each. Evergreen Sixers was all out for 146. Rizwan was the highest scorer with 40. Haroon and Khalid took 2 wickets each, while Arshad and Iqbal bagged 1 each.
In the last match of the day NAB beat Falcons by 97 runs. NAB electing to bat first made 221. Kamran hit 85 (12 fours and 1 six), while Azhar (46), Usman (34) and Basharat (34) were the other scorers. Awais of Falcons took 2 wickets, while Suhail bagged 1. Falcons team was bowled out for 124. Nadeem scored 24. Man-of-the-Match Nazir took 4 wickets, while Jameel and Imran bagged 2 each.
