Pakistan Green, ARM and Hyderabad Green win in JCA

JEDDAH — The second week matches of Premier Division matches saw Pakistan Green, ARM and Hyderabad Green score thrilling wins in MoneyGram sponsored Cricket Ke Badshah T20 Tournament here recently.
The Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) is organizing the tournament under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre.
ARM beat Micro Engineering by 24 runs. Batting first, ARM scored 212 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Opening batsman Tabriz was unlucky to be out for 13, his partner Athar Ali was looking set to make a big score, but lost his wicket on 29 (3x4). Middle order batsman Sami Khan added 27 (2x4 and 2x6). Skipper Nazeer Najam made useful 45 runs (6x4) and Pervez Khan added 34. Mujahid claimed 4-33 with his fast bowling, while off-spinner Kaleem took 2-55.
Micro Engineering in return was restricted to 188 for 9. Kaleem scored 37 (4x4 + 2x6), while his opening partner Abid Parvez added 53 (6x4 and 1x6). Lanky youngster Sami added 52 (2x4). Sami Khan claimed 3-35, while Mansoor, Shahid Abbas and Tabriz had a wicket each. ARM ran out three players.
In the second match of the week, the Hyderabad Green cricketers beat Desert Warriors by 7 wickets. Desert Warriors, batting first, made 175 for the loss of 7 wickets. Khalid hit 61 (6x4 and 4x6), while Junaid added 17 and skipper Muzammil Riyaz 18. Javed Makki claimed 3-14 and Furqaan 2-32. In reply, Hyderabad Green reached 179 for the loss of only 3 wickets in 16.4 overs. Amir Gujjar hit 51 (6x4 and 2x6), Usman 41 (4x6 and 1x6), Amer Wahla 30, Faisal 23 not out and Javed Makki 20. Adil, Alam and Khalid claimed a wicket each for 15, 36 and 15 runs, respectively.
In the last match of the week favorites Pakistan Green inflicted a 94-run win over Mazco. Pakistan Green, batting first, scored 258-5. Opener Muhammad Shehzad hit 72 (8x4 and 3x6), while Amer Shehzad contributed 55 (8x4 and 1x6) and Asim Ashfaq remained unbeaten on 78 (6x6 and 6x4). Nasir and Umar claimed 2 wickets each for 39 and 34 runs, respectively. In reply, Mazco could manage only 174-9. Faisal Khan scored 22, Zaheer 17 and Farhan 38. There were 26 extras. Fast bowler Adnad took 3-48, Mohammad Shehzad 3-29 and captain Mohammad Zahid 2-19.
