DAMMAM — A man has been sentenced by Al-Qatif District Court to serve 30 days in prison and receive 50 lashes for beating up his wife. The woman lodged a complaint with the police after her husband assaulted her and inflicted bruises all over her body. She told officers that she and her husband had an argument. The husband tried to deny it when he appeared before the judge. However, the judge reviewed all evidence and handed down the sentence.
