DAMMAM — A man was handed down 20 lashes by a court after his wife decided to get him into trouble for patting her on the shoulder as a joke, Al-Sharq daily reported. The woman did not think it was funny and brought a case against her husband at Al-Qatif District Court, telling the judge that he had beaten her. She changed her mind and dropped the case but it was too late, as the judge decided the husband should still sentenced. — SG
