DAMMAM — The wife of the man, who slapped her following a heated argument, requested the judge to pardon her husband now. The man, convicted for physically abusing his wife, was sentenced to 10-day imprisonment and 30 lashes, along with attending a seminar on how to treat a wife. The wife, however, visited the the court with her mother-in-law to appeal for mercy. The judge denied her request. — SG
