JEDDAH — Hala Academy White, MQ Group, QRCC, AAA, ALJ Toyota, Jeddah Royals, New Young Stars and Jeddah Challengers won their respective matches in the Hyundai MYNM Summer Morning Tournament, which is sponsored by Hyundai Mohammed Yusuf Naghi Motors and organized by Western Province Cricket Association (WPCA) here recently.
Batting first, Al-Mazroi-XI was all out for 104. Farook top-scored with 29, Abdullah made 26 and Mohsin 23. Nadeem grabbed 4-14, Lateef 2-11 and Tayyab 2-15. New Young Stars reached the target, making 105-3. Jameel hit 39 and Shabbir 20. Badar took 2 wickets.
Nesma Holding, batting first, posted 179-4 through Akram (75 in 52 balls with 10 fours), while Sheraz made 42. They added 98 for the second wicket, while Malik and Fazal contributed 14 each. Munawwer took 3-18.
Hala Academy White, in reply, was home with 180-6. Skipper Furqan hammered 86 in 33 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Jahanzeb contributed 57 in 36 balls with 5 fours and six. Sarfaraz took 2-36.
QRCC, batting first, piled up 148-9 as Abdulrauf scored 50 in 34 balls with 2 sixes and 3 fours, Sadiq made 38, while Amir contributed 20. Ziad took 2-33. Rapidtech, in reply, was bowled out for 102 as Yasir grabbed 3-11 and Abdulrauf 2-1.
AAA, batting first, piled up 145-7. Ahmed Naveed top-scored with 38, skipper Naveed Nawaz made 34 and Irfan 20 not out. Omer took 2-26 and Ammar 2-30. Haneefa Tigers, in reply, was bundled out for 81 as Yaseen grabbed 2-23 and Ahmed Naveed 2-19. Omar made 14.
Batting first, ATS recorded 146-7 through Lateef 27, Abid 21, Zubair 20 and Imran 19 not out. Madhu scalped 2-43 and Adil 2-21. ALJ Toyota, in response, made 147-4 in 92 balls. Basheer hammered 59 in 30 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Zahid made 27, Adil 24 and Tanveer 20. Dr. Basheer got 2-26.
Mohsin and Badar of MQ Group batted with determination to put up 117 for the first wicket. Mohsin hit 62 with the 8 fours and 2 sixes, while Badar plundered 85 with 2 sixes and 9 fours to lay the base for a huge total of 182-3 in the allotted 18 overs. Ahmed took 2-30. Johnson Control, in response, could score only 130.
Orbital Horizon batted first to post 166-6 through Shahid Shoukat 69 in 43 balls with 11 fours, while Shahid Choudhry contributed 43. Farhat took 2-42 and Akram 2-47.
In reply, Jeddah Challengers' Mohammed Akram was in awesome form and remained unbeaten on 90 in just 42 balls with 11 fours and a six. Omar made 36. Rizwan remained 25 not out. Shahid Choudhry took 2-31.
