ABHA — Police in Dhahran Al-Janoub in Asir province foiled an attempt to smuggle 138 handguns, a machine gun and 138 magazines. Police engaged in a shootout with the suspects who tried to smuggle the weapons. The smugglers escaped leaving behind the weapons. Police launched a manhunt. — SG
