Nadia Al-Fawwaz Okaz/Saudi Gazette Abha - Border Guards in Dhahran Al-Janoub have foiled the smuggling of a large quantity of arms into the country. Spokesman for Asir Border Guards Col. Abdullah Al-Homrani said the infiltrators were monitored and intercepted as they crossed the borders. An exchange of fire forced the infiltrators to retreat across the borders, leaving behind the cache of arms. The arms consisted of 138 guns, one machine gun and around 1,000 bullets.
