Security patrols in Jazan seized a huge quantity of smuggled firearms, ammunition and drugs, Al-Mujahideen spokesman in the region Khaled Abdullah Bin Quzaiz said, Thursday. He said the third squad in Al-Dayer Bani Malik governorate seized the smuggled items in operations which involved exchange of fire between the Mujahideen and the smugglers. The seized items included 11 rifles, 32 pistols, 100 bullets and a large quantity of qat on Mount Al-Rumaih and 2,400 bullets on Mount Al-Shaf'ah. Bin Quzaiz said in two separate operations in Al-Harth governorate on Mount Al-Aqabah, Mujahideen's fifth squad confiscated 78 hashish blocks and arrested six men. A Kalashnikov rifle with six bullets was also found during the raid, he said. — SPA
