Hijjah 22, 1431, Nov 28, 2010, SPA -- The patrols of the Border Guards in Najran Province have foiled a number of smuggling operations for the past days, during which they have arrested 5 persons without identity documents, while trying to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia illegally, and carrying 149.1 kilograms of Hashish, 107 kilograms of Qat drugs, 2 ammunition magazines, 56 bullets, one Kalashnikov machine gun, and 5 contact slides. The patrols have also seized a car used for smuggling the contraband. In a statement issued today, the Acting Commander of the Border Guards in Najran Province Brigadier-General Abdulrahman bin Gharamah Al-Shihri commended the Governor of Najran Province for his follow-up and directives to the Border Guards aiming to protect the Kingdom from anyone who tries to destabilize its security and stability.
