Faisal Aboobacker Ponnani Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end and the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations begin, the streets of the Eastern Province are bustling with activity. Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry has in store a variety of programs to elevate the festive mood. Celebrations are planned at 90 centers across the province. Special Eid entertainment shows and cultural competitions will be conducted in Al-Khobar, Half Moon beach and Dammam Corniche areas. Special stages have been erected in King Abdullah Park area for this purpose. Abdulrahman Al-Rashid, president of Asharqia Chamber, said fireworks will be displayed in Al-Khobar, Dammam and Half Moon beaches on Eid days. The celebrations will begin on the first day of Eid and will continue for three days. A series of recreational and cultural programs will begin from the second day of Eid. As part of the celebrations, streets are being decorated with special lights, especially the seaside areas where more people are expected to gather. Various entertainment programs are being organized at Qatif Mall, Rashid Mall and Darin Mall to add to the flavor of Eid celebrations. Eid greetings from Eastern Province Emir Prince Saud Bin Naif have been posted on billboards in the main highways of the province. To strengthen the bond between citizens and the leadership, the Emir is also sending text messages to the citizens greeting them on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
