RIYADH — The Civil Defense Directorate has advised the general public to be especially careful when preparing meals inside the kitchen during Ramadan. Citizens and residents were warned that putting metal plates inside microwaves when heating food may cause the microwave to explode. They were also told to avoid using too much oil in a frying pan or overheating oil. Directorate spokesman Col. Abdullah Al-Harthy urged the general public to follow the directorate's instructions on how to handle kitchen accidents and avoid risks. These instructions are available at the directorate's website along with information about preventative measures. — SG/SPA
