JEDDAH — The Consul General of Malaysia Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and spouse hosted an Iftar and Teraweeh prayers on Thursday at the Chancery. The attendees were all officers, staffs and families of the Consulate and Agencies based in Jeddah. Hon. Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah, the Secretary-General of Finance (Treasury of Malaysia) who was in Jeddah for official meeting also joined the Iftar. The Iftar began with breaking of fast followed by Maghrib prayers and dinner. AfterwardTeraweeh prayers were performed. All attendees were served with a wide spread of authentic Malay dishes specially cooked for the special occasion. No doubt, the Iftar and Terawieeh prayers reminded all of their own memories and nostalgia of fasting in their ‘Kampung' back in Malaysia. —SG
