RIYADH — Customs officers at Al-Bathaa dry port foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 26,000 bottles of liquor in two separate incidents. In the first incident, officers became suspicious of a truck driver's behavior. Upon searching the truck, they found more than 18,000 bottles of liquor carefully hidden inside the truck. In the second incident, customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 8,000 bottles of liquor hidden inside a heavy machinery shipment. Both drivers were arrested.
