All set for finals in Alhamrani Cup

RIYADH — The semifinals of the Alhamrani Fuchs T20 Cup, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), were played here recently.

In Al-Kharj Zone, Pak Shaheen hammered Lahore Badshah by a huge margin of 128 runs. Batting first, Pak Shaheen tallied 223, thanks to a fine knock of 111 by Abdul Waheed. He was well supported by Ibrar 52, Wahab 27 and Qadir 21. Lahore Badshah, in reply, was bundled out for 95. Ibrar bowled with great pace and took 4 wickets. Abdul Wahab grabbed two important wickets. Abdul Waheed was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
In the second semis, a quick-fire 50 by Mansoor helped Lahore Lions beat KFSH Blues by 3 wickets. Batting first, KFSH Blues scored 192-6. Ayaz made 59, Irshad 52 and Nasir Abbasi 28. Salman Butt picked 3 wickets, while Owais got 2. Lahore Lions achieved the target in 19 overs. Mansoor remained unbeaten on 52 off 20 balls. Other notable scorers were Nawaz (32), Owais (23) and Sarfraz (23). Mansoor was named the Man-of-the-Match.

In Huraymala Zone, Attieh Steel got the better of Hyderabadi Warriors by 42 runs. Attieh Steel recorded 183 in the stipulated 20 overs. Asif made 45, Imran Younous 40 and Asif Butt 30. Hyderabadi Warriors, in reply, could only manage 141. Sajid Cheema took 3 wickets and Asif 2. Asif was declared the Man-of-the-Match for his all-round performance.
In the second semifinal, Saudi Jaguar defeated Stallions.
In Riyadh Zone, Majlis-e-Pakistan (MPCC) beat TBCC by 16 runs. In a low-scoring encounter, MPCC batted first and scored 158. Abdullah was the top scorer with 52. Rameez contributed 37. MPCC then restricted TBCC to 142. Omer bagged 4 wickets and Abdullah 2. Abdullah was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
In the second semifinal, Yusafzai CC beat Crescent by 25 runs. Yusafzai scored 201. Man-of-the-Match Mohsin Khan looked in great touch and blasted 72 off 36 balls. He was ably supported by Yasir (39), Asif (31) and Hameed (23). In reply, Crescent scored 176. Usman, Hameed and Khurshaid shared 2 wickets each.
In Al-Qassim Zone, Sialkot Stallions beat Shaheen-XI by 10 wickets. Shaheen-XI, batting first, was bundled out for a paltry 93. Sami scored 25. For Sialkot Stallions, Mudasir took 4 wickets and Ansar 3. Sialkot Stallions openers hit the target in the 9th over. Mudasir remained not out on 45 and Mubashir made an unbeaten 38. Mudasir was named the Man-of-the-Match.
In the second semifinal, Pak-XI Unayzah beat Janbaz-XI by 1 wicket. Janbaz-XI elected to bat first and scored 162 through Zahid (54), Mubashir (35) and Bilal (23). For Pak-XI Unayzah, Arshad took three wickets and Waqar 2. Pak-XI started briskly as Abdul Rehman made 31 off 13 balls. Khawar hit 38, Waqar 20 and Tabassum 17. Nadeem, Mubashir and Bilal took 2 wickets each. Khawar was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
