After an inexplicable delay of over a month, the new flyover on Tahlia and Arbaeen Street crossing was finally opened to traffic on Thursday. The flyover is one of the completed projects in the campaign for beautification of Jeddah that includes construction of bridges, underpasses, flyovers and new roads to ease the traffic flow in about 68 locations of the city. The municipality's total road projects are worth more than SR5 billion and ongoing 18 road developments projects are estimated at SR1 billion; an estimated cost of a flyover would range from SR35 million to SR45 million, while the underpass would range from SR110 million to SR150 million according to a report published recently by municipality.
