I am writing with regard to the report “60% requests from private schools to up fees rejected” (June 3). As a parent, I must thank the authorities concerned, i.e the Ministry of Education, for keeping a strict check on the increase of school fees. This is a great relief for all parents who are concerned about providing a safe and comfortable educational environment for their children where they will get the best teachers, clean classrooms, well-equipped science and IT labs, extracurricular activities and properly trained academic staff in their respective fields.
