This is in reference to the Saudi Gazette article, “No school fee hike allowed during academic year: Shoura Council.” It is all very well for Shoura to come up with these statements. But who is going to monitor the schools if they increase fees, as most schools do it frequently. The parents are the one who are suffering from the manipulations by the management. Whoever raises their voice finds that their kids are the ones who suffer. The fees is not the only concern but also during the academic session the school asks for various types of fee, such as laboratory fee, book rental, picnic fee etc. Are they providing the facility for which they are paid. Please note this and do something. Asif Khan via online II It is a relief for parents indeed, as last year they suffered from this dreadful act the most. The most to suffer from this wanton acts by schools were, especially parents with more than one child studying in private schools. Maria Khan via online III Thank you very much for the good news; but private Indian schools have already increased their fees by 40%. Kindly would somebody from education department investigate this. Parents are suffering due to this increase. These private schools are already making big money and their Indian owners are millionaires now. So, private schools of expatriates too might need to follow this rule, and it is good that parents can know about the expected hike, months before starting of an academic year. Ahmed via online
