MADINAH — Highway patrol officers arrested a young man who stole a car while its owner was eating at a restaurant on the Jeddah-Madinah Highway. Shocked to see his car missing, the owner quickly reported the stolen vehicle to police. The car thief had initially attempted to avoid police detection by taking a side road but rugged terrain forced him back onto the highway. Officers eventually spotted the car, pulled it over and arrested the thief who did not have an ID on him. Investigations continue.
