RIYADH — Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif graced the annual graduation ceremony at the university's headquarters in Riyadh on Wednesday. The 42nd batch of graduates consists of 259 male and female students who hail from seven Arab countries.
Addressing the event, Prince Abdulaziz stressed that the Council of Arab Interior Ministers has been making great efforts since its inception to enhance Arab cooperation in the security field. He considered the Council, with its two bodies, the General Secretariat and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, as a model for successful Arab organizations based on the achievement of the plans and strategies it has approved and followed up on their implementation over more than four decades, in addition to enhancing coordination between Arab security agencies. He highlighted the Council's great efforts in strengthening relations with international organizations concerned with security affairs with the aim of preserving the security of the Arab people and reducing crime in the Arab region.
"We are confident that the security challenges facing the region will not prevent the continuation of our joint efforts and the continuation of our path to maintain security in a way that brings prosperity and flourishing to our Arab countries and the realization of their hopes and aspirations," he said.
Prince Abdulaziz emphasized that investing in people is the greatest investment for the future. "This is what the late Prince Naif, founder of this university, sought to achieve. He gave this university his attention and care since its establishment until his death and we are pleased to see the impact of this in the graduates of this university as they begin a new phase of their lives in serving their Arab countries," he said. The minister congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in serving their communities and countries.
President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Bunyan, and Morocco's Minister of Justice Abdellatif Wahbi also spoke on the occasion.
Prince Abdulaziz watched a visual presentation on the most prominent features of the university's strategy for 2025 – 2029. He also honored the graduates, who made outstanding performances.
