RIYADH — Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council President Abdel Fattah Al Burhan emphasized that lasting peace in the Middle East depends on the complete end of the Israeli occupation of all Arab territories, including the Golan Heights, in line with UN Security Council resolutions and the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative. Speaking at the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Al Burhan urged the international community to accelerate the implementation of the two-state solution, secure a ceasefire, prevent further escalation of regional conflicts, halt the displacement of Gazans, and ensure humanitarian aid reaches displaced persons. Additionally, Al Burhan condemned the actions of Sudan's Rapid Support Forces, describing them as efforts to destroy the Sudanese state and cause widespread displacement and starvation, which he said violated international humanitarian law. He expressed confidence that with the support of their allies, the Sudanese people would overcome the ongoing crisis.
